Hanging out at home

Our precious baby Madeline is doing great. She keeps her beautiful blue eyes open often now and she can hold her head up on her own when we hold her sitting up. She is starting to sleep longer through the night and getting bigger each day. Next week she will be six weeks old and we can start taking family trips outside the house.

This week we caught Madeline showing off her Michigan spirit by sporting her U of M bib. This bib is 2 times the size of her body but she loves to support her dads favorite Team!

Babysitters....

Our 2 babysitters are worn out from all the time spent with Madeline. Victor likes to crash on our bed and Maizey takes Maddys feeding pillow. Our house is never boring with all of these crazy animals!

Madeline - 5 weeks old

Even though Maddy is getting bigger everyday, she is still too small for her swing. I am so happy to be a stay at home mom so I can enjoy every moment with my little miracle.

Maddy had her 1 month trip to the pediatrician today

Today, Maddy and Mommy took a trip to the baby Dr. Maddy has grown over an inch and has put on 2 lbs since her last visit. The Dr. said she is doing great and is right where she should be. She is becoming more alert and her hand eye coordination is getting more amazing each and every day.

Grandpa Jeff & Grandma Anita

Grandma and Grandpa are here this weekend. This is the first time Maddy and Grandpa Jeff are meeting. Today is Madeline's 1 Month Birthday and it is also special because it is Grandpa's Birthday! We are having a great weekend together!

First Shopping Trip

Madeline and Daddy had their first shopping trip on Saturday. They went to Costco and she slept the whole time. I guess she didn't inherit my love for shopping!

Just in case anyone thought i was being that dad that thinks his daughter can do superhuman things, but can never prove it, here you go. 3 weeks old and she is feeding herself with the bottle. I called Nike, and told them to take a hike. She is a wolverine and Michigan is sponsored by Adidas. Haha. She is more and more amazing each day. At this point, it would not surprise me to see her throw a curve ball by the time she is a month old.

3 Weeks Old...Time is flying already.

She is getting bigger :)

Maddy is getting bigger and more beautiful each day. She held the bottle all by herself yesterday while she was eating. I know that sounds crazy for under 3 weeks old, but it had 2 ounces left and she was holding it airborne with no support for a while. She obviously gets her strength from her mom. She is getting more and more curious each and every day, and those big blue eyes are watching everything they can. On a side note, I have discovered that the Michigan fight song, Hail to the Victors, actually puts her in a really good mood. This comes as no surprise to me. Also, she is becoming quite the fan of the Detroit Tigers. Again, this does not surprise me either. Her and her beautiful mom have been spending a lot of quality time together as i have been really busy at work. Maddy is really starting to understand how lucky she is to have a great mom like Amy. Victor and Maizey are both starting to enjoy being around their little sister. Victor is letting up on the guard dog duty a little bit finally. Maizey can now lay with her without a series of growls. :) I will do my best to update this daily moving forward. At the least, we plan on Mon, Wed, and Fri.
