Maddy's First Thanksgiving
We spent Maddy's first Thanksgiving with Grandma Anita and Grandpa Jeff and basically the entire Lingenfelter family. Maddy was a little overwhelmed with the amount of attention she was receiving, but after a little time, she settled right in. She wore her 1st Thanksgiving outfit and Tutu. She got to watch Daddy get his hopes up during the Lion's game, but then watched the Lion's disappoint him as always. She was 5 1/2 months old for her 1st Thanksgiving and was a very good girl.
Maddy's First Airplane Ride
On Wednesday November, 24th 2010, Madeline took to the skies with her Mom and Dad to fly back to Indiana to see Grandma Anita and Grandpa Jeff for Thanksgiving. She did very well on the plane and fell asleep during takeoffand didnt wake up until we landed. She had her own seat and ticket, and she ate formula during the takeoff to prevent her ears from popping and plugging up. Everyone was amazed that she was so well behaved in the airport and on the plane.

Pups
Victor and Maizey are funny when it comes to eating. Ever since we have had both dogs, they eat from each others dinner bowls. Victor always lays down and eats from the small bowl and maizey jumps into the large bowls. Even if we let Victor get to the bowls first, he chooses to eat from the small bowl. We love our dogs!
Playing Ball
Madeline is starting to use her hands a lot now to grab, roll, and play with anything she can get her fingers on. Today she discovered her first soccer ball that her Aunt Linda gave her. Madeline had fun rolling and turing it.

Some more pics from tonight
Eating and Sleeping
Madeline grabs the spoonm during feedings and chews on it because the tip is rubber and it must feel good on her teething gums. She ha sbeen sucking her thumb alot which is so cute and we are happy that she only wants her pacifier when her gums are bothering her. She is not depending on the pacifier all of the time which is a good thing.

Victor is very protective of our little Madeline, he always likes to make sure she is OK if he hears her cry. They get along great, I would love to know what Madeline thinks of our giant dog.
Madeline is really teething right now. She puts everything she can into her mouth. Sha has to wear a bib all of the time because she drools a ton. Her aching gums are keeping her from going to bed, she has been staying up until after 1:00am this week because she is trying to soothe herself to sleep. We have been freezing her pacifiers and letting her suck on them and it seems to help for a few minutes. She usually takes one of the frozen pacifiers right before falling asleep. Madeline is able to reach out and grab the pacifier, put it in her mouth and remove it all by herself.
Madeline also enjoys a little bit of quite time each day. When she starts to get fussy, I lay her in her crib and she enjoys watching her Winnie the Pooh mobile as she relaxes from play time. As you can see from the pictures, Madeline is happy and smiling as much as she can while going through the teething process.

22 Weeks Old
Madeline is 22 weeks old today and doing great. She is still a very happy baby. Madeline weighs around 15 pounds and is about 25 inches long. She still enjoys playing in her walker and reading books with mom. She also has fallen in love with our littlest dog, Maizey. Madeline loves to pet her and let Maisey give her kisses. Madeline is extremely vocal these days; cooing and giggling at her toys and at me and daddy. She recognizes her name when we say it and she turns to look at us which is one of the milestone she has reached. We are looking forward to our trip to Indiana next week to see family and friends. That will be her first plane ride so wish us luck!!

Happy Girl

Just another happy day for Madeline. Today we stopped by daddy's office for a quick visit and Madeline was delighted to see him. We spent the day shopping at Kohl's and by the time we left to head home she was sound asleep in her car seat. She slept for over 2 hours!

Sitting Pretty
Today Madeline decided she wanted to try sitting up on her very own. She was able to sit for several minutes all by herself on the floor. She was happy while reading her favorite book which is Charlie Browns Christmas. The book plays classic Charlie Brown tunes and Madeline loves looking at the pictures while listening. Pretty soon she will be sitting straight up and playing all by herself!!

Highchair
We bought Madeline her first highchair today so she can start eating her meals with us in the Kitchen. The chair is made by Graco which is the same brand as her stroller, swing, and car seat. The chair is green with Winnie the Poo and Tiger on it so it matches her bedroom. I sat her in it tonight as a test and she liked sitting high in the air where she could see everything.

Rice Cereal Update
Madeline has got the hang of eating rice cereal and she likes it! She is eating an entire bowl (1 tbls. Ceral w/ 3 Ounces of Formula) of Earth's Best Organic Cereal each day for lunch. I found that if i leave the spoon in her mouth long enough for her to chew on it, then all the cereal gets swallowed and hardley any comes back out. We are on the hunt for her first highchair and hope to have one soon. As of now, she eats sitting in her green chair that sits on the floor. She likes to grab the spoon and help me put it in her mouth and then play with the bowl as I am feeding. Madeline can start eating regular baby food next month!
Just Being Cute
Madeline is going through a tough time right now as her teeth are starting to surface. The past 2 days have been full of tears and sadness and nothing seems to soothe her except my finger pressed hard against her gums. I have also had to take her on several walks both days because it seems like the stroller bumping on the pavement relaxes her. I was able to get a few smiles out of her today long enough to get some cute pictures. '
It's Cold!
Madeline is experiencing her first cold weather and had to wear a hat when we went shopping last night. The temperature drops down into the 40's at night now and gets up to around 70 during the day. I can't believe the warm weather stuck around until November! Arizona was having record high temperatures the past few months but I am so happy the cooler temp is settling in so we can start enjoying the parks and being outside.

Big Foot
We had to buy Madeline a new pair of shoes today because her feet are growing so fast. She is now wearing a size 2! She picked out a pretty pink pair of tennis shoes which velcro and they are really soft and light weight. She has to wear shoes most of the time when are in the house because her feet touch the ground when she is in her walker.
The waether is still really warm here in Arizona, it's been 80 + degrees all week so Madeline is still wearing short sleeve outfits. We may not need any winter clothes this year as the temperature has been above normal all month!
