Another New Hat

Grandma Anita, Maddy and I drove to Anthem today and shopped at the outlet mall. We had a great time walking around and going through the stores. Madeline bought a cute new bucket hat, an outfit and pajamas! We had a yummy lunch at PF Changs before making the drive home.

32 Weeks Old

Madeline is 32 weeks old already!! Wow time is flying by and we are enjoying everyday together. Maddy now weighs 18 pounds and is getting very tall. She no longer can wear pants smaller then a 12 month! She is doing great as her cold is finally gone for good. She is enjoying time with grandma Anita this week and making us laugh all day long.

Madeline has been staying up late all week, past 1 am, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse movies that daddy bought her. It is amazing to watch how she goes from screaming and crying to completely excited when the movie starts playing. She still will not sleep in her crib, still only in our bed or in her bouncy chair.

Maddy jumped into a size 4 diaper this week. They are a little big but size 3 is now too small.

Grandma!

Grandma Anita arrived yesterday for her weekend visit. She took Maddy and I to the Musical Instrument museum in Scottsdale today where we enjoyed listening to music and seeing instruments from around the world. Maddy even wore the headset for a little while so she could enjoy the sounds too!

Happy, Healthy, and Ready for Grandma!

Madeline is feeling a lot better today as her cold is going away! Her smile and lauigh have returned and her runny nose has dried up. When we told Maddy her Grandma Anita is arriving tomorrow she lit up with excitment and we were able to get a few cute pictures. We look forward to her arrival tomorrow but will be sad to see Kevin get on the plane to head off to his annual fishing trip. Kevin, Adam, and Doug will be spending the weekend in Oregon fishing on the river while we have a girls weekend with Grandma.

Home with Daddy Today

I am out sick today and getting to spend some time with my little munchkin. I am having to keep my distance so that i don't get her sick too. Her teeth are getting so big and she is really happy. She has been smiling, giggling and tooting all morning :)

So Serious

Maddy went with me to my OBGYN appointment and got to meet Dr Moos who delivered her. He and the entire staff were thrilled to see her and said she was absolutely adorable. Maddy gave lots of smiles and even showed them her 2 teeth!

Maddy's Hats

It is unusual that a baby likes to wear hats or glasses or have anything out of the ordinary on them. Madeline has her own personality though and loves wearing hats!! We bought her the blue and yellow flowered one last week to match her Michigan shirts. Maddy has a cold right now and has been crying with a running nose all week. So daddy thought it would be nice to get her out and buy her a new hat. We bought her the pink and white checkered one with an outfit to match!

7 Months

Our Little Angel turned 7 Months old this week and is growing and developing beyond our expectations. She is extremely alert and strong. She rolls all over the floor and can barrel roll over and over until she is out of room. She also likes standing with support. She loves listening to us read books and she has started watching a few cartoons before bedtime. She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Ni Hao Kai Lan, both on Nick Jr. She watches about an hour of these cartoons before falling asleep each night.

Madeline still wont sleep in her crib or pack n play. I can get get her sleep in her vibrating chair for about 4 hours at night then she wakes up and wants me to hold her the rest of the night. Maddy takes a total of 2 hours of napping a day, usually in the car.

She is eating pears this week as her new fruit and seems to like them. Since the weather is warm, we have been taking long walks and going to book stores this week. Maddy picked out a cute purse from Old Navy which I had to get her because she wouldnt let go when it was time to leave!

Madelines second bottom tooth surfaced a few days ago so she now has two tiny teeth! The constant need for chewing on objects has subsided a little for now. When she does need to chew on something, she has latched onto her sippy cup. She hasnt quite got the hang of drinking form it yet but she loves it anyway.

Maddy is anxiously waiting for the arrival of Grandma Anita, she gets here Thursday!!!

New Glasses

I bought Maddy new sunglasses, floppy hat, and sandals today from Carter's today. They had all Summer stuff on super sale so I let her pick a few things out. She is a babe!!

We spent the morning and Barnes and Noble reading books then the afternoon was full of shopping and walking. We had a great day!

Fun in the Stroller

Maddy and I woke up early today and took a long walk around the neighborhood. The weather is great and in the 70's. She had a horrible night sleep last night as she woke up and 2 am and didnt go back to sleep until after 4! She played in her walker and watched cartoons while I tried to stay awake and keep keep her happy.

Another Fun Day at the Park

Daddy and I took Madeline back to the Scottsdale train park today. The weather was beautiful!! It was 75 degrees and sunny, a perfect day to be outside. We all rode on the carousel together then had lunch at the cafe as we watched the train chug past us. We took a long walk around the park grounds and enjoyed seeing all the families playing and enjoying the day.

Madeline does not fit into the pink flower sunglasses any longer but enjoys wearing her white Cinderella ones!

I can't wait for the day Maddy can get up and run over the the swings and start playing with the other kids!

Silly Maddy

Madeline had her first Apples today. At first she wasn't sure if she liked them but after the second bite she seemed to love them!

30 Weeks Old

Madelline turned 30 weeks old today. Her milestones for 30 weeks are to be able to control both hands, grasp toys with her fingers, sit up on her own and balance herself on her own while in a seated position. She has hit every single one of these milestones and in most cases has been performing these things for weeks. She is happy as can be now that her first tooth is in. Her and Momma have been spending a lot of time together and she is saying momma over and over again.
