Snicker

Snicker is Madeline's cat who is about 8 years old. He is so fat that he weighs more then Maddy and his belly drags on the floor. Snicker pretty much sleeps all day along with lots of eating and no playing.

Having Fun on a Friday Night

Mommy, Maddy and I are having a blast hanging out together Tonight. Maddy has been laughing no stop and running wild in her walker. She has started crawling today, but we have yet to catch it on camera or film. Stay tuned...

Maddy and Daddy

Madeline and Daddy spent a lot of time together this weekend playing and having fun. Dad has been traveling and working tons so they catch up on play time when he gets home. They had a ball playing in the toy room and reading books together. It rained all weekend and was too cold to be outside so we had to be creative and spend quality time indoors.

Teacher

The teacher of our baby class is very nice and has a great personality for the kids. Maddy enjoyed listening to him sing and watching him dance. There were several toddlers in the class and even a few babies about the same age as Maddy. Everyone seemed to have a blast today!

First Baby Class

Kevin and I took Madeline to her first interactive baby class today. We went to the public library and enjoyed the Shake, Rattle, and Roll class. The class was full of listening to music, dancing, clapping and lots of fun. Maddy enjoyed playing with some musical instruments and bean bags. She kicked her feet and bouced up and down when we were all singing together so I could tell she was having a great time. Maddy even laughed and got the teachers attention a few times during story time. I think we will start going to this class each Saturday.

Watching TV

Madeline's favorite TV show is Mackey Mouse Club House and she scoots as close to the TV as she can when it comes on. She gets very serious and quiet when the show is on, she loves Mickey!

Bath Time

We upgraded Maddy's bath tub this week to a toddler size tub. This tub has 2 positions, one for sitting straight up and one for reclining to wash her hair. Maddy takes a bath almost every night now because it calms her and helps her fall asleep. She loves playing in the warm water and she even has a little rubber ducky to play with.

Worn Out

Maddy, Kevin and I went to dinner last night at Miracle Mile Deli then did some shopping for my birthday....ugh. Maddy was so tuckered out after going to Kohl's that she slept in her car seat on the kitchen counter for a while.

8 Months Old

Madeline is 8 Months Old today. She had a little growth spurt this week and was wabbly on her feet but she adjusted quickly to her new length. Maddy is "talking" a lot more now with sounds of mama and dada and lots of other sounds. She loves giving hugs and kisses and has several facial expressions now. Maddy is a very curios girl and is getting into everything around the house.

Maddy took her nap in our bed today. She loves to snuggle up under the covers.

34 Weeks Old

Madeline is 34 weeks old and running wild. She Doesn't crawl yet but she can roll and scoot across any room we put her in. She can go forwards and backwards in her walker all over the house and loves to follow me around. She can pull herself into a standing position if she gets a hold of something sturdy, usually me or her green chair.

Maddy eats about 5 bottles of formula a day plus fruits, veggies, cereal and yogart. She likes the Gerber Organic foods the best and they seem to agree with her little tummy. Madeline still only sleeps in her crib for about an hour a night then into our bed she goes. She takes an hour nap in the morning and about a 2 hour nap in the evening then will sleep about 8 hours total at night.

Madeline weighs over 18 pounds and is tall like her daddy; from my estimate, she is almost 28 inches long. She wears size 3 shoes but can only fit into shoes that have velcrow adjustable straps because her feet are extremely fat :) She is currently in size 4 diapers ans size 12 month clothing. Maddy has her 2 bottom teeth now and her 2 top ones are the next to arrive. No signs of the top ones yet but they will show up in the next few weeks.

Maddy and I still take walks everyday and spend our time playing, reading, and chasing the dogs.

Daddy bought Maddy a new TV for her play room today so we can watch our favorite cartoon, Mickey Mouse. I limit Maddy to only a few episodes a day which is usually in the evening before bed. She loves Mickey Mouse...Just Like Grandpa Jeff!!

Madeline's Video

Madeline has so much fun playing in her new toy room. She has plenty of space to spread out her toys and the carpets makes it safe for her to roll and scoot. Daddy shot this video while Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was playing on the TV so she was distacted by the sounds of the show while playing.

Waffles Anyone?

Madeline and I spent the day doing our usual Friday routine which is grocery shopping and running errands. Maddy played in her walker while I emptied the car and filled the refrigerator. When I came in from the garage, I found Maddy with a bag of Frozen Waffles! She had reached in the freezer, grabbed the box and pulled the waffles out. She enjoyed chewing on the frozen treat, they probably helped soothe her gums!

Now that Maddy is almost 8 months old she is moving and scooting all over the place. She can move frontwards and backwards in her walker at a very fast pace. She is getting into everything, especially cabinets, the trash and other places she she shouldnt be! Maddy can pull herself up with help of objects such as chairs and myself. She is so curious that if i turn my back for a second she can completely roll across the floor and get whatever she she is lusting after :)

Daddy had to lower the matress in Maddys crib this weekend because she can pull herself up and almost flip out. This weekend we will be spending time completely Maddy proofing the house!

Maddy's New Play Room

We turned the guest bedroom into Maddy's play room today. We took the bed and all the furniture out to make room for all the toys! Since Madeline can scoot and crawl and loves to play for hours, we decided we need a bigger and safer place for her. Now that she has a carpeted room instead of the tile to play on, she can spread out all of her toys and spend the day rolling around without bumping her head on the hard floor. Unfortunately her bedroom just isnt big enough for play time. Daddy is buying Maddy her very own TV and DVD player for the play room so we can continue to watch our daily dose of Mickey Mouse!

Sorry Grandparents, Kevin will have to put you up in a hotel when you come to visit!!
