45 Weeks Old
Can you believe our little Madeline is more then 10 months old? Wow... time flies by so fast and it seems like just yesterday I was pregnant and trying to bare the summer heat with an extra 40 pounds to carry around.
Madeline is now over 20 pounds and getting very tall. She is wearing size 3 shoes, right now she mostly wears sandals because we live in the desert. Her legs are long and lean so most of the size 9 and 12 months pants look like Capri's on her. Madeline crawls at the speed of light and can get out of my sight within seconds. She is still crazy about Maizey and loves following her and chasing her around the house.
Since our pediatrician gave us the OK to start swimming, i signed Maddy and I up for Water Acclimation classes starting in a few weeks. This class will help her to not be afraid of the pool and learn the basic water skills. i cant wait!
Now that Maddy is almost 11 months old, her appetite has grown to a new level. She drinks about 6 bottles a day plus she has a meal for lunch and dinner and 2 snacks. Like before, her favorite snacks are yogurt and fruit. She now eats Gerber stage 3 meals which are jars of pureed spaghetti, turkey and veggies and other yummy meals. She can hold the bottle to feed herself and it is very cute to watch her do it.
We have spending a lot of time with our new Friend Annette and her daughter Alexa but since the temperature has now reached 100 degrees, we are taking suggestions for activities we can do indoors!

Why?
Silly Girl
Sunday, April 24, 2011
We all slept in today until almost noon then we got up and watched some cartoons as a family. Madeline has another cold right now and is not feeling well. Her nose is runny and she is coughing up tons of mucus. Needless to say we will not be going to the Zoo today to Celebrate Easter. Maddy is worn out from this cold and cranky. We will be spending a nice day together as a family at home.

43 Weeks Old
Our little girl is growing so fast. She is now 43 weeks old which is almost 10 months. She moves at the speed of light and is starting to stand for a few seconds on her own....then of course plop right to her butt. Her thing right now is to pull herself into a standing position then let go and see how long she can stand without falling.
Maddy loves exploring and playing with everything she can get a hold of. Madeline loves looking at books and I read several books to her each day. Maddy also really likes to sit and rip paper into a million pieces. It is neat to watch her try to figure out why the paper is multiplying each time she pulls it. She really loves chasing the dogs and pulling the cats furr. Maddy has a third bottom tooth that popped through and her 2 top teeth are also in and getting bigger every day. She has discovered that chewing on cold water bottles gives her comfort from the teething pain.
Maddy and I still take a long walk everyday, now we have to go early in the morning or after the sun goes down because the summer heat is here. Maddy babbles and sings all day long and likes to tell me stories about what she is doing : ) Daddy is on a business trip to Detroit this week so its just us girls having a great time. In just a few more weeks we will put Maddy in the pool for her first summer of Swimming!

Phoenix Zoo
We purchased a family membership to the Phoenix Zoo so we can enjoy it all year long. Today was our first trip and it was a lot of fun. Madeline was able to see all kinds of animals such as Elephants, Monkeys, Giraffes, and so much more. We walked around for a while today and enjoyed the great weather. It was only about 65 degrees and sunny so it was the perfect family outing. In 2 weeks we are going back to the Zoo to enjoy their Earth Day celebration.
And the Winner Is.....
Maddy had to officially give up to her swing to Snicker today after a long battle. We kept finding him sleeping in the swing each morning when we would enter the playroom. Snicker has been enjoying being in the room with us everyday and he likes being chased around by Maddy. He is really starting to like her more and more.

Just a Cute Video of our Baby!
Daddy sings a Black Eyed Peas song called "Boom Boom Pow" to Maddy because it makes her laugh and usually she will start to dance to the beat. We discovered she likes this song the other day when it came on in the car and she sang along the whole time!
Maddy and Mickey
Madeline's favorite show is still Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We have 2 DVDs and we watch them multiple times a day. Maddy will go form crying and throwing a fit to laughing and dancing as soon as the Mickey Songs starts playing. She always crawls up to the TV and reaches up to touch the screen when Mickey is on the screen. Maddy doesnt really like minnie mouse or the other characters, there is something special she loves about Mickey! Also, if I sing her the theme song, she immediately perks up and smiles at me. It is amazing to see her react to colors and sounds of this show.
