Madeline and I spent the morning watching Lauren at their house so her mother could go to work. Madeline and Lauren played with stickers, ran around outside and had fun going down the slide. The girls are becoming great friends and Madeline asks to go to Lauren's house almost everyday. They enjoyed a yummy yogurt snack together and ate it sitting on the floor like a picnic. Not surprisingly these girls are both very well behaved and we had a great time together.

I made spaghetti with meat sauce for dinner tonight and Madeline loved it. She was holding noodles in the air and sucking them into her mouth as she laughed. I knew this meal would be messy but I was shocked when I pulled her from her highchair and spaghetti covered her outfit, the chair and the floor!

After playing for a while, the four of us went to Yogurtology and enjoyed some delicious frozen yogurt. We had a great day!

22 Months Old
The doctor was very impressed with how well Maddy speaks and recognizes things. She couldn't believe Maddy was saying full sentences and could point at objects I showed her and said what they were. The pediatricians exact words were "Madeline's vocabulary skills are extremely advanced".
The Dr. said its normal for toddlers this age to know about 20 words and since Madeline knows at least 75 words, I was quite pleased to know she is doing great and all the reading and practicing is paying off. (Maddy knows at lease 75 words because she can recite different objects from 52 flash cards as well as she can read several books and knows colors, numbers, animals, etc.)
Madeline also understands when I ask her questions. I try to always ask her what she wants to eat or if she wants to go someplace. She Can answer me with what foods and drink she wants and she understands when I ask her a yes or no question. Tonight I asked Maddy if I could go take my bath now and she said NO. She said " house". Which meant she didnt want me to take a bath, she wanted me to play in her play house with her.
Since we were there, Madeline received another vaccination. This time the hib, which is for meningitis. Maddy knew it was coming before the nurse even had the needle out and immediately went into panic mode!
Madeline can now recognize several primary colors such as red, green, orange, purple, yellow, and blue. She knows numbers 1-8 and can say full sentences. Madeline is really becoming her own person now and loves playing with her doll house, animals and blocks.
