Memorial Day

Madeline and I spent some time playing in the water fountains at Desert Ridge today. We have been busy unpacking and decorating all weekend and we thought today would be the perfect day to relax and have some fun. There were tons of kids and families for Madeline to play with and she had a blast running around and splashing the other kids. The weather is about 95 degrees which is pretty perfect and Madeline actually got goosebumps and was shivering in the shade when it was time to leave..

Madeline's first Move

After living in our 1400 square foot home for almost 3 years, we finally ran out of space. So we packed up the cat, 2 dogs, and Maddy and moved across town to a larger home in North Scottsdale. We have rented a 2 story home with 4 bedrooms and a huge yard and swimming pool. This house is only 5 minutes from Kevin's office and right around the corner from our friends Allison and Lauren.

We have been unpacking and getting settled this weekend and Madeline and the animals seem to love all the space to run around and play. Madeline even took a nap in her new room while we waited for our furniture to arrive. Since Madeline has more toys then she knows what to do with, we gave her the formal dining room to use as her play area.

Saturday night was our first night at the new house and Madeline went to sleep in her new room but woke up around 5am and didn't want to go back to sleep. I believe she was confused and did not understand that this is our new house. She did not go back to sleep in her room or in my room but instead we went downstairs to play. The sun was not even up yet!

 This has been a really long day and I am praying she sleeps all night tonight! I am tired!!!

Madeline and I played in the fountains at Desert Ridge Marketplace yesterday to cool off in the 102 degree temps. This is a popular gathering place for moms and kids and it was packed with children for Maddy to play with. At first Madeline was a little scared to enter the water but after about 20 minutes of me talking her into it she finally made the plunge and started playing and running around.

Happy Mother's Day!

Madeline and I had a great Mother's Day together. She and I started the day by visiting her favorite bunnies and spending some time with Mac. Maddy and I also did a little shopping, watched cartoons together and just enjoyed being with each other.

Madeline's Babysitter then came to stay with her while Kevin took me to Red Lobster for a yummy dinner. This was a great day for all.

Madeline and I had a fun day at the mall. We met up with our gal pals Allison and Lauren and immediately headed for the pet store to see the puppies. Madeline ran all through the mall and had fun going in each store looking for toys and things to play with. We stopped at the food court and enjoyed a yummy hot fudge sundae then we had to take a break so Madeline could put on her lipstick :) She loves lipstick!

Madeline ran so much today that she took over a 4 hour nap when we got home!

Lauren now stays at our house 3 days a week so her mom can go to work. I thought it would be great for the girls to be able to eat together so I bought them this cute little table. Both girls love sitting at it and eating and coloring. This is much less restrictive then a highchair so I think its finally time to donate it.

Lauren is at  house today while her mom is at work. The day started out great. The girls splashed and played in Maddys pink pool dgot soaked from head to toe. Grandma Jill bought Madeline this pool yeaterday and it is a big hit!

Madeline loves to play with Daddy's soft Michigan Helmet. Yesterday she thought it was hilarious to put it on Victor. Poor Victor just sat there with his head down and allowed Madeline to embarrass him over and over.

Best Buds

Snickers favorite resting place is in Madeline's closet where it is quiet and warm. Maddy found him napping last night and wanted to be right there with him. She crawled into the closet and laid her head on Snicker and just kept petting him over and over.
