Lauren is back with us this week while her mommy goes to work. Lauren and Madeline enjoyed playing puzzles and swimming and they were happy to spend the day with each other.

We took Madeline to Bass Pro Shop Friday night because she wanted to see the fish. She calls this "The Fish Store". There are 2 giants tanks with all kinds of big and small fish to see. Madeline even tried feeding the fish a french fry through the glass.

Madeline decided to help with the laundry today. She took each piece of clean clothing out of the basket and placed it on the floor. She then had a blast running across the clothing and making piles to jump in. When she was finished playing, Maddy picked up each piece and put it right back into the basket where it belongs. 

Cabela's

Today was an adventure. Kevin had to buy some hunting gear for an upcoming bear hunting trip so we set out to Cabela's which is a huge hunting and fishing store. This store has an indoor aquarium and a stuffed animal museum. Maddy actually enjoyed going through the museum and seeing tons of stuffed bear, deer, elk and many more animals that were cought and donated to the museum. Maddy knew most of the animals names as she pointed out snakes, moose, elk and bears to me as we walked around. We did tons of shopping too but then it was time for a nap so we headed home and slept for 3 hours!

Madeline and I have a week off of babysitting Lauren so we are spending some quality time doing the things we love. We woke up and after breakfast we spent over an hour at the Bunny Sanctuary visiting with all of the bunnies. Maddy took them several treats and passed them out.

We then headed over to what Maddy calls " The Bookstore" Barnes and Noble. She had a blast playing with the train and stuffed animals.  Maddy was very excited to have some other children to play with. She loves the book store so much that after her nap she wanted to go back! So of course we went back to Barnes and Noble for round 2 of fun and daddy even met us there when he was finished with work.

Just Like Daddy

Madeline loved playing with this little work bench and tools that Grandma and Grandpa have at their house. Madeline even wore the tool belt around her waist and used the hammer and other tools.

Grandma and Grandpa

Madeline and I traveled 1.5 hours on the plane to visit Grandpa Doug and Grandma Jill in Nevada. Madeline did great in the air as she enjoys flying and looking down below. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for 6 days and had a blast. We drove up to the north shore of Lake Tahoe and spent a day swimming in the cool water and playing on the beach. We also spent a little time at the south shore beach but it was too cold!! We also did lots of shopping and playing with toys and watching cartoons. Madeline and I enjoyed this time to relax and catch up on rest. We even were able to visit with Kevin's Uncle Jim and cousin Shannon and her new little baby girl. This was a great vacation!

Swimming in Lake Tahoe

Madeline and I had a blast swimming in the cool water of Lake Tahoe. 

Lauren and Maddy have their morning routing down. They eat breakfast then straight out to fill the pool. The love to hold the hose while the pool fills up then they take turns spraying each other with the water before jumping in. They have so much fun together! Yesterday the girls swam in the morning then again after lunch and then Maddy swam again for a third time after dinner. e
