Uncle Jerry

Uncle Jerry rescued a Great Dane last month named Brooklyn. She is a wonderful dog and loved playing with Maddy while we were in Indiana.

Feeling Better

Madeline is starting to recover from her flu. Her fever is gone and she is only coughing a little bit. Unfortunately Maddy is now covered head to toe in a yucky red rash. She is taking Benadryl every 6 hours for 24 hours. Our Pediatrician said the rash is either an allergic reaction to the Amoxocillian or the final stage of the Flu. Our little girl just can't catch a break this week!

A Rough Week

Kevin, Maddy and I all came down with the flu this week and have been very ill for about 8 days. Madeline started with an ear infection last Thursday and was put on Amoxicilion for treatment. She started coughing and crying non stop on Friday and we rushed her to the emergency room in the middle of the night because she was running a 102 fever. Maddy had a fever all weekend and has had really bad diarreah, coughing, and and runny nose.

Grandma Jill is here to help us because Kevin and I could not have taken care of Madeline all by ourselves while we are sick. Maddy seems to be on the up and up as she no longer has a fever. She is now just really tired and cranky because of the body aches she is experiencing.

Maddy is standing up all of the time now.

Our little munchkin has learned to pull herself up on her own now. She is climbing on everything and she is starting to walk while holding on to things as well. She is so happy right now and she is giggling non stop.

9 Months Old

Maddy had her 9 month pediatician check up today. Time is going by so fast and she is getting big. Maddy weighs 19.9 pounds and is 27 1/2 inches long. These measurments put her above the 50th% mark meaning she is bigger then 50% of babies her age.
The pediatrican was glad to see how well Maddy is doing and said the Maddy's motor skills are extremely advanced. Maddy is now ok to go swimming with me and she can now start eating meats and other soft foods. Maddy now calles Kevin " Gaga" and me mama.
Maddy has now slept in her crib for 2 nights in a row which is a huge step for us to get her to sleep in her own room. She is still in size 4 diapers, wearing size 12 and bigger clothes and size 3 shoes.

Ready for Spring

Madeline is all ready for the warm Spring weather. She has lots of new hats to keep the sun off her face and some new sandles so she can get around!

Smiles

Maddy is 9 months old today and happy as can be. Now that she knows how to pull herself into a standing position, she does it all the time. She loves standing and playing in her crib. She has woken me up in the mornings by standing up and laughing at me from her crib...it is so cute! And YES!!! She has slept in her crib 2 nights in a row!!! ITS A MIRACLE!!
She loves the winnie the poo mibile that her friend Mary Jane gave her. Maddy enjoys watching it spin around and likes the music. Maddy's hair is getting long enough now that she can wear bows and headbands to pull her hair out of her face!

Grandma Anita and Maddy

Madeline loves Grandma Anita so much and really enjoyed spending time with her and Grandpa. I think I cought Maddy off guard with this picture!!

Cute Pics from our Trip

Uncle Jeff and Family

I was able to spend some quality time with my brother Jeff and his wife and kids while we were in Indiana. Maddy loves to play with her cousins Gabe and Bella and we even were able to go to Gabe's 7th birthday party!
Jeff is leaving for his first tour in Iraq this sunday for a year long mission. Jeff is a weapons specialist for the Army and I am so proud of how brave he is. Maddy and I will try to talk with Jeff on the web cam whenever possible and keep everyone updated during his trip.

Loughing out Loud

Madeline had a great time at Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Anita,s this week. She loved scooting around their house in her winnie the poo walker. I think the cold weather brought the sillies out of her because she laughed and laughed the whole time we were there!

And....She's Off!

Madeline and I were in Indiana for 10 days visiting family and friends. My parents house has lots of open space for Maddy to practice her crawling and I finally caught it on camera. She is able to crawl all the way across a room now then pull herself to a sitting position. She is doing great and now she is moving faster then ever and I have to keep a close watch on her because she wants to get a hold of everything. She can also pull herself to a standing position if she gets a grip on the couch or tables. What an exciting time watching our little angel grow!

37 Weeks Old

Our little girl is already 37 weeks old! Time flies by so fast that it seems like she was just born. Maddy is still experiencing bad separation anxiety whenever I leave the room. She will sit with Kevin for about 2 minutes then start crying until she can see me again. This is a normal reaction for a baby at this age and she should outgrow it soon. Maddy still will only sleep in our bed at night and if I put her in the crib, she wakes up immediately. Her naps have drastically been reduced, she takes about an hour nap a day now and sleeps around 8 hours at night.
Madeline is now eating stage 2 gerber fruits and veggies. She likes mixed foods such as apple granola and pear banana. She is very curious about everything and wants to grab whatever she can reach, especially at stores! Maddy army crawls which means she rolls and flips and scoots instead of the traditional crawling. This gets her around as good as or better as crawling and I think she will be walking in a month or 2. She can pull herself up when she gets a hold of something stable and loves to be held in the standing positions. She can take several steps when help up and she is very strong.
Maddy weighs 20 pounds and is tall like her daddy. So far, she has met or exceeded all of the milestones for an 8 month old and we are so proud of our little angel.

Happy Girl

Kevin was away overnight for work this week and Maddy was SO excited to see him when he got home. These are just a few of the expressions she gave him when he walked in from his long trip.

Fun

Madeline loves her walker! She wants to be in it all the time so she can cruise around the house with me. She is as happy as can be and has been smiling and laughing all week.
Maddy and I are getting ready for a long trip to Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Anita's house. We will be in Indiana with them for 10 days and leaving this Friday. This will be Maddy's 2nd round trip airplane ride!
