Madeline had another fantastic day at Gymnastics! She kept saying "Trampoline" to me all night because she knew today was our class. She told me she wanted to jump over the moon!

Madeline discovered jumping rope today and really like trying to jump. She jumped like crazy on all the trampolines and went down the giant slide several times. 

Best Friends

Maddy and I still watch Lauren 3 days a week so Allison can go to work. This has been really great for the girls as they love playing with each other. They chase each other around the house, play cards and love watching cartoons together. I have enjoyed watching them start mimicking each other. If one wants a banana, then so does the other...if one is playing with Barbie then the other girl wants Barbie and so on. Madeline gets very excited when the doorbell rings each morning and yells Allie-Lauren!

Gymnastics

Madeline went to her first gymnastics class today. It was more of an open gym where Madeline and all of the other children years 5 and under got to run around and explore. She jumped on the giant trampolines over and over and loved it. She laughed and screamed and didn't want to get off. She also got to hang and play on the parallel bars and rings. Maddy spent time climbing around on the balance beam, large mats and she even got to climb up a huge wooden latter and go down the slide. Madeline's favorite part of the day was jumping into a giant pit of foam blocks. She climbed through and made it out all by herself. Madeline had so much fun! She didn't stop running around for the entire hour and even wanted to stay longer!We will definitely be going back every Friday!

2 Year Check Up

Madeline had her 2 year check up with the pediatrician today. Maddy is growing and thriving exactly as she should and she is doing great. Her motor skills are still advanced for her age and Madeline impresses everyone with her ability to count to 10 and recognize about 9 colors.

Madeline weighs 28 pounds which is in the 78th percentile and she is 34 inches tall which is 51st percentile. The pediatrician said Madeline is on pace to be about 5'8" as an adult which is great considering I am only 5'2'

Madeline also had to go to the lab where they drew her blood for a routine blood count. She did OK but cried and yelled "Amy" over and over. She has started calling me by my first name recently as she hears our friends saying it. Hearing such a tiny voice say my name is actually quite cute and I don't mind it.

Madeline has starting to put puzzles together on her own. She can put all 9 pieces of her "Wonder Pets" puzzle together without any help. The box says it is for ages 3 and up so this is a great achievement. She can also say the names over 30 animals and make the noise of each one. Madeline can tell you exactly what she wants to eat or drink and she can put together full sentences now. We are so proud of our little girl!

105 Temps today....swimming was a must!

Madeline's Birthday week has been so much fun. Grandma Jill and Grandpa Doug made the 12 hour drive from Reno to be with us for  all of the excitement. Today Maddy opened some present from Kevin and I. We gave her a set of Strawberry Shortcake dolls, Barbie and Ken with a Jeep, puzzles and bubbles.

Grandma and Grandpa also spoiled her rotten with several gifts such as books, a Dora the Explorer Backpack set, shoes and games. Madeline is so lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family members who remembered her on her special day.

Today is an extra special day. Not only is it Madeline's 2nd Birthday but it is also Father's Day.

 We had a wonderful birthday party here at the house to celebrate Madeline 2nd birthday. There were about 23 guests including Grandpa Doug and Grandma Jill, Allie and Lauren and lots of other friends. The party was on Saturday night ( the day before her actual birthday) and Kevin grilled lots of burgers and hot dogs and I even baked a cake! Maddy had a lot of fun playing pin the tail on the donkey and chasing the girls around. She received some great gifts such as books, puzzles, barbies and clothes. This was a great day!

Madeline's dolls received a new house! Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Anita gave Madeline this huge new doll house for her birthday and she LOVES it! This new house is about 3 times the size of her old one and each room is completely furnished. The house also has a family with mom, dad, sister and twin babies. Madeline has been playing with the doll house and moving furniture around non stop she she received it last night. Thank You grandma and grandpa!!

Madeline takes after her daddy and loves U of M. Today she wore this cute Michigan sundress given to her by Aunt Linda for her birthday. Madeline accessorised by carrying all of her babies in her Michigan purse.

Another day at the Fountains

Madeline and I met up with Allison and Lauren at the fountains today. The girls chased each other through the water and splashed around. Madeline ran around for over an hour almost non stop. She loves playing in the water and meeting new friends. Madeline had to stop for some blackberries and a drink to refuel so she could continue playing. The four us then went to Paradise Bakery for lunch then home for a nap. This was a great day!
